Day Two's Eight Mile View

Today was so long it took two days to post it.

It started at Foley Square and ended with a drive through Times Square. It had the emotional highs of performing on stage at the world famous Apollo Theater and the emotional lows of coming to terms with an act of violence of 9/11. We tried new things to eat, smelled the aromas of city cooking and dwelling, listened to the symphony of different languages, saw the neighborhoods where 40% of American's can trace their lineage, and touched the engraved names of innocent people who died in our lifetime. We walked 8 miles today and yesterday seems like a month ago.

And now it is time to sleep........unless you have hall duty in the wee hours of the morn.
