The Battle of Gettysburg

We are very fortunate to be visiting Gettysburg on the 150th anniversary year of the Battle of Gettysburg. The battle occurred on July 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in 1863. Lee's army of Northern Virginia was going to continue its success on the battlefields and mustered troops from as far away as Alabama for a serious attack north of the Mason Dixon.

We started our guided tour on the side of the battlefield where Lee's troops were stationed.
